Mini Haul

Another day, another shopping trip. And that's how I lurrve to spend my holidays. So without further ado, here are some things I picked up on my most recent trip to Sydney City Westfield.

Origins Make A Difference Plus Rejuvenating Treatment (Cream) - $59
I've been in need of a decent moisturiser since I made my skincare routine a priority in the new year. It was a toss between this and Origins Ginzing Moisturiser, but once the shop assistant told me about the Make A Difference Plus range there was no going back. This range is all about rehydrating and repairing which is great for the cold weather.

Theres also three different formulas for this moisturiser which all aim to target different skin types - so it's important to know what you're buying. The more rich formula is best for dry skin, and the two others both target combination/oily skin but one is a gel and the other, which is the one I purchased, is a cream. Finally a rich moisturiser that doesn't make oily skin oiler - who knew they could be so hard to find?

I didn't really need anything else but that didn't stop me from picking up a few things from Priceline and Lush anyway. I've recently been loving the L'Oreal Micellar Solution, as a cheaper alternative to my Bioderma, so I thought i'd give Garnier 's take on this new beauty craze to see how they compare. The new Revlon Parfumerie Scented Nail Polishes have just hit the Aussie shelves and as my nail polish collection is getting waaay too big, I decided to pick up just one shade - Chocolate Truffle. Maybe its because of my post-easter choco cravings?

And of course, a trip to the City would not be complete without a bit of oo-ing and ah-ing at Lush. I swear, if I could, I would buy that whole store. In the end, I did restrain myself and only picked up the Tea Tree Toner Water as I'm always in need of some tea tree products and this can also be sprayed on make up throughout the day to keep you wide awake. I also repurchased my favourite Bath Bomb, Butterball.

I hope you guys enjoyed my post, please comment below if you've tried out any of these products or whether you would after reading this.

Review: Real Techniques Duo-Fiber Brushes

So following on from my January's Wishlist post, I did manage to purchase this beautiful Limited
Edition brush set by Real Techniques on feelunique. Anyone who follows enough beauty blogs would know about the Chapman sisters' fantastic range of brushes and their super affordable price tag.

There any so many reviews on this collection and I may be a bit late on writing about them, but they've been a permanent addition to my make-up routine since I bought them so I thought I would put my two cents in and show you guys my love for them. I hope you liked it!

What i liked
 Very affordable
Pretty to look at! And big enough so they don't get lost in a big pot of brushes (ahem ecotools, pick up your game)
All 3 brushes pick up product, from illuminating powder to cream eyeshadow, absolutely perfectly. I have a few blushes that are very pigmented and often hard to apply but when im using the contour brush, I never seem to fail.
They don't need washing too often. It'a a weird thing to like about them and I may get judged for saying this as I know brushes are meant to be washed weekly or fortnightly. But to be honest, when im busy, cleaning brushes in my free time is not what I want to do and these brushes, especially the eye brush, never desperately need a wash - yay for the duo fiber!

What i didn't like
Absolutely nothing.

My verdict: 5/5 - I can't fault them! So hurry up and get yours now.

Feel free to comment below about you're thoughts on this collection!

January Wants

There's a couple of things I didn't manage to find in the US so the most important have been added to my January Wantlist. There's nothing particular surprising on the list so it's not very exciting but if there are more suggestions that you guys may have please leave a comment below!

1. Real Techniques Duo-Fiber Brushes -Pretty self-explanatory for anyone who is, like me, obsessed with this amazing brand of brushes. I've heard so much about this limited edition set, I just need to get my hands on them!

2. New Look Black Quilted High Leg Biker Boots - I'm currently obsessed with finding a nice pair of high boots as I may be leaving sunny Australia in February to brace to European winter. I don't really want to spend too much as they wont get much use at home so I thought these were perfect!

3. Collection 2000 Lasting Perfection Concealer - An oldie but a goodie that I've never been able to try out as I am struggling to find a retailer that ships internationally at a reasonable price - grr!

4. Mayfair Lane Gel Effect Polish - Estée from Essie Button has mentioned these polishes a few times in her videos and I thought this shade was perfect for summer. I don't own a gel-like polish but I never have to time to top coat so this should hopefully help me in times of need!

5. Elf Conouring Blush & Bronzing Powder - Both St. Lucia and Antigua are beautiful shades so I'm thinking about purchasing both as they are super affordable and perfect size to pop in a purse!

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year to all my lovely followers!!

I hope you had a wonderful christmas break and an even better start to the new year.

So 2014 has finally come and seeing as it was quite a busy and stressful year for me, I'm glad to say bye bye to 2013. I apologise for being so absent for the last 9 months, but I'm making a promise to commit to blogging and I'm quite excited to be back!

I've just got back from a family holiday in Hawaii so I have many new products that I still need to try out, review and rave about so here's a small collection of some of the things that I bought..

I'm definitely most excited about my Naked2 palette, I've waited so long for it! I opted for this one over the Naked3 just because this contains much more neutral shades so I should hopefully get much more use out of it. Have any of you got you're hands on the Naked3?
